GO RALF GO!

Germany and soulful house are not two names you’d usually think of in the same sentence, but the thing uniting them is Ralf Gum. 'Uniting Music' is the debut album from German born Ralf released on his own GoGo label, and has been out for over six months now receiving plaudits from across the globe.

The thing setting 'Uniting Music' apart from other albums is that Ralf composed and wrote the music for the whole album, as one piece of music. In Ralf’s own words, the album’s a continuous piece of music, seamless and blended into a luscious tapestry of soulful, afro-latin, house and jazz inspired textures. Writing an album in this way, instead of on a per song basis takes time. Indeed, it took Ralf two and a half years to complete the album, but the end result was definitely worth the wait.

Once the scores were written and divided into separate arrangements, Ralf then contacted various vocalists with the individual arrangements
