When we started the New Talent section, Tantra's name came to my attention through Jonny Montana of Camio Recordings.
I was talking to Jonny on the phone a while ago, and he played me some new tracks he had produced featuring Tantra and her spoken word poetry.
Spoken word isn't new, I remember when MD Xpress - God Made Me Funky first came out and just how well the spoken lyrics worked on that. But it is something you don't hear that often, and it is a very powerful medium. Ashley Beedle, John Cutler, Danny Tenaglia and Ralf Gum are just some of the artists who have used this form of song to very good effect.
