following: Victor Simonelli, Jovonn, Man X, Jihad Muhammed, Delmar Browne and myself. Carolyn would also be performing 3-4 tracks during the day, so this became a party people were quite keen to attend.
The venue was a 10 acre ranch outside Miami near Weston, Florida. We had arranged coaches to collect our guests from South Beach and then return them in the early evening, so once we had our final numbers, we set off on the 45min journey to 'Shack in the Back', the venue for Movin' On.
The party was a huge success, the vibe was fantastic, the people were very happy and Carolyn blew everyone away with a fantastic performance comprising of a Jazz, Blues and House repetoire (see sound bites live from Sun 12th April at end of feature)
Dawn Tallman also provided some impromptu backing vocals, as Carolyn, ever the presence, involved the audience in her show. This is what made it so special, everyone there was involved in someway and it became a very personal performance, and something I shall remember for a very long time.
The main thing from my point of view was how the audience reacted though, and the feedback during and after the show was exceptional. On behalf of Carolyn and Roy, I'd also at this time like to extend a huuge thank you to all of our guests without whom there would have been no show. You guys really made the day a special one and
we were delighted by your comments and kind words.
