Adam Cruz is a name many people wll be familiar with. Renowned as a DJ, producer and someone who was a big influence in label West End, Cruz needs no introduction here.
However, his sister Flora is not as well known, but judging by this first album, she will be. This debut feature length album from New Jersey based Flora is very good indeed.
The pack comes with eleven tracks, one of which is a filler number, but most of the other ten really grabbed our attention here at SUHQ and having such a variance of style, we think this
could appeal to a wide audience of people with different musical tastes. From the start with the short intro track Dulce Melodia (which translates from Spanish as Sweet Melody), this album carries itself off perfectly.
What I like most about this album are the several influences Flora has adopted. The spectrum ranges from house, funk, jazz, deep house and even a drum and bass textured track called 'Skies The Limit.'
My personal favourites on this album are 'Overcome' - a flowing house number with a real catchy hook; 'Faithful' - a downtempo number
that is also very catchy; 'Skies The Limit' - a track with an almost drum and bass backbeat and soft
