GRAND PUTNAM (ALBUM)

Reviewed by Gareth Morgan

We received this promo album at the beginning of March, and the words beautiful, soulful, melodic, summertime, jazzy and harmonius can all be applied to the release. I love this time of year (mid March) as the days get warmer, you know summer isn't too far away, and this album encapsulates that exact summer feeling!

The theme of this album can be divided between intelligent and massively soulful bruk, lazy beat hip hop with clever lyrics, Nu Jazz and even tracks verging on break beat meets bruk. Break bruk! This is a superb album, with something for everyone of all musical tastes. Fantastic release in time for summertime plays in and out doors,

we look forward to hearing more from this promising New York based outfit. Excellent stuff!
